What families are saying about our school
When we moved to Dallas several years my top priority
was to locate a neighborhood with a public school worthy
of my child… that may sound funny but we all want our
children to succeed not only academically but socially
as well. I found all that and more at Northwood Hills –
my child has thrived! She’s bright and challenged, she
loves learning at this school and she has friends around
the corner. NHE is all I could have asked for as a
parent and I wouldn’t want to be any where else.

Our son initially attended a private Christian
school. When we moved to Northwood Hills, we had every
intention of leaving him there but we kept hearing how
great NHE was and decided to give it a try. Our first
priority was academic challenge and we got it. There are
so many areas for children to go above and beyond in
Reading, Science and Math. Being a minority, an
important priority for us was diversity. We didn't want
just racial diversity, but religious and socioeconomic
as well, real world, and we got that. Lastly, our
priority was socialization. Kids are friends with who
they go to school with and our neighborhood school makes
that easy. It doesn't hurt that families at NHE are some
of the friendliest you'll meet. The PTA support and
involvement are a huge bonus. We now have two children
at NHE and both love their school.

In December of 2003, we moved to the neighborhood
and decided to transfer our son during his 2nd grade
from a Montessori school in East Dallas. We found out
within one day how great NHE was with their well-trained
educators, an extremely involved PTA, and a very
challenging curriculum. Leaving White Rock Lake has been
tough, but getting NHE as a trade off has been awesome!

We've been part of the NHE family since my son was
in 3rd grade. He's now in 6th grade. The private school
which he'd been attending from age 4 to 2nd grade closed
abruptly, leaving us in the lurch. Luckily I had toured
NHE prior to that unfortunate occurrence. During the
tour I was impressed by the learning environment that
was evident from walking the halls. We've never
looked back. Our son loves having his friends nearby as
well. The PTA and parents are terrific. Our principal is
the best.
