  Think Tank
NHE is a smaller, true neighborhood school with an experienced, caring and attentive teaching staff and administration. You will join a cohesive group of parent volunteers who are committed to their children’s education and are often seen around the school –volunteering in classrooms, working in the library, or simply having lunch with their kids.

Classmates will be neighbors and their parents your friends. Why NHE? Where else!!

At NHE we value diversity.
Perhaps 6th grader Amanda E. said it best in her Reflections poetry entry.

Why is our school great?

  • Exemplary Status, Superintendent’s Medallion Award, 6 State Golden Performance Awards
  • Full-time Educational Specialist, Reading Specialist and Math Specialist
  • 30% of the teachers have advanced degrees
  • Small class sizes (average 18) enable teachers to provide individualized instruction
  • Differentiated instruction for all learners such as Math, Science and Reading enrichment groups
  • Strong parental commitment to volunteerism enables the following programs:
bullet Grade-level Book Club (Lunch Bunch)
bullet Think Tank Math and Science Lab
    bullet Kindergarten Reading Buddies
    bullet Destination Imagination
  • After school enrichment programs (Chess, Art and Spanish)
